Anybody else getting frustrated answering the same questions over and over on Airsoft Society? I'm thinking we put together a quick reference guide full of easy to digest, one-sentence answers that we can refer people to. For instance, for the color question that always come up, we just put together a chart of what colors look good with what camo: Matching gear to camo: | Camo pattern | Gear color | | Multicam | Multicam, Khaki, Coyote Brown, Ranger Green | | Woodland MARPAT | Coyote Brown, Khaki | | Desert MARPAT | Coyote Brown, Khaki | | M81 Woodland | Khaki, Coyote Brown, OD |
You get the idea. Thoughts on just noting the basic information that we all have to say over and over? If it's a composite effort, it'll be a hell of a lot easier. |

I'd be all up for it. I hate answering the same question over and over. I've noted how it's been happening recently with that goddamn TMC repro of the Eagle APC.

Well, let's get it under the way. I think the easiest way to go about doing it is going to be to brain storm all of the basics that we need to cover. Off the top of my head, I would say:
Brands
Gear colors
Camo patterns
Common combinations
PC vs. Chest Rig
"Generations" of PCs, i.e. OTV > CIRAS > EPC > 6094/others
--weight and bulk of PCs here too
Where to buy
Pouches
Sizing
I'm sure I'm missing stuff. Any other topics we need to get down?
The next step is going to be to take each of the categories we come up with, organize and combine them together into something with flow. Then we need to come up with the individual points we want to cover and then finally, get the information out. Let's get through the brain storming in the next day or two. And let's make sure Legolas's trans roommate, iTunes and the rest of the crew gets down on this.

we also need some help in the holster work. I've seen a lot of cloth and non SERPA/hood retention stuff on the site.

We all contribute so we hit all of our bases. Also, we all have input on everything so it's much more a conglomerate of information rather than a personal perspective.

I wouldn't say that set-ups would be good, as that is very much personal preference as well. Trey got mad at me for putting my MBITR pouch right next to my shingle instead of in the back left side of my cummerbund. |

Grin is right. We also don't want to get to nuanced or too deep into gear. This guide has to be accessible to complete gear noobs, since they're the ones who keep asking the same questions.
