In other words, we need to put this in basic terms so that the noobs can understand what we're saying. Ah OK I see what you're saying. Maybe we could do an intermediate gear guide as well.

Maybe the different acronyms that we use to identify/name gear? Just trying to help. Or we could just not use a million acronyms for a beginner's guide. I meant we list the acronyms and what they mean.

Levi is exactly right, but I think that should be on a whole different chart. Perhaps we should make a gear acronym thread.

God damn, that would take a long time to complete...

But they still need to know what the acronyms mean.
We also need to put what the different deniers purposes are/do.

I'll write up something about the deniers of cloth article. I'll post it here for critiquing then as well.

If we're just gonna grab one topic, I'd love to do something about pouches. Perhaps better (Real Steel) pouches than condor pouches with the same purpose at a comparable price?

That'd be friggin' great. Try to include Flyye/Pantac as well. I could start with a list of real steel rigs and what repro's are available.

Mybe I just love real gear but I don't see any reason to but Pantac/Flyye pouches. A rig, sure, but pouches are just so cheap already..

I think that would depend on the pouches and the color. If you're buying Multicam, it's cheaper to go real 90% of the time. But hey, that's something to cover in the guide.
Grin, I really like the idea of common real steel rigs (and units who use them with regularity?) and reasonable reproductions available. Mostly it'll be FLYYE and Pantac, but AWS and TS will pop up from time to time.

What would you guys think about making a dumbass impression guide? We could just compile a list for all the popular impressions. It'd sure a hell make things a lot easier.
I'm thinking the gear itself and then different repro/real versions of said gear.
