The UTAG boards are always dead. It's boring in here, we need to post more.

Everybody talks about their gear on AS, no reason to come here. Want people here? Ask gear questions here. I'll start.
Isn't Grin having too much fun trying to be a smarty pants when clearly we know what we're talking about but being less than precise so we don't confuse the noobs?

Yes, and it pisses me off.
Thanks for addressing that, Knief.

Everybody talks about their gear on AS, no reason to come here. Want people here? Ask gear questions here. I'll start. Isn't Grin having too much fun trying to be a smarty pants when clearly we know what we're talking about but being less than precise so we don't confuse the noobs? The issue is that being less than precise is oftentimes what DOES confuse the noobs. When I am getting PM's asking about things, or seeing people asking (for instance) "What is an AT mod?", it's inevitable that somebody should point out that the speaker should have been more specific. Not to mention that sometimes y'all post something different then your intended statement and just expect everybody to understand what you meant. This is on-par with a woman saying, "I'm not mad at you." To be completely honest, yesterday I WAS quite pissed off at a number of things. After posting for a while, I decided that I was being far too harsh and just took a break for the rest of the day. I'll be a big boy and admit that I did snap a couple of times. But it's true that when y'all type stuff and just expect everyone who reads what you wrote to understand it, it can cause more issues then just saying what you meant from the get-go.

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

With those two terms, both could apply to the same subject. So somebody could be a gear whore AND be a person that you have pissed off.

I don't know, personally, it really pisses me off when people ask about thinks it would take literally 2 seconds to Google. Take a UBL mod for instance. Some noob asked "What is a UBL mod". I don't know? Why don't you fucking Google it! I mean that's how I learned a LOT of the stuff I know. I see people talking about the new HJFLS plate carrier and I immediately Google it to find out what it is they're talking about. '

What's an HJFLS plate carrier? It's the new carrier made by EI, Crye, Mayflower, and LBT all te SEALZ and RAGNERS use. No, it's just me on caps lock hitting random keys to have something to use for my example. Edit: now that I look at it closely, it does look like it could be the name of a real carrier doesn't it...
